09:26 pm: My Reasons to Use Jott to Organize My Life

I have observed that so many people misplace things, cannot remember easy but important things, and just put off doing what should or needs to be done. With Jott, another Web 2.0 creation, I have more order in my life, and can keep ideas, reminders, to dos in a safe, orderly place online, and on my cell phone.

Here are the reasons why I use Jott.
1. I can get an audio and text transcription in the text message application of my Treo, and in my gmail inbox, under a a label specifically for jotts.

2. I am get a summary of all my past and present jotts daily, kind of like a digest of jotts, so I have not only separate emails for each individual jot, but also a conpendium of  jotts.

3. You can set up Groups for your jotts. My groups include, customer names, business to dos, bills to pay, spiritual thoughts, family activities. This is so much easier for order, than just throwing all jotts in one big list online.

4. Ability to add or import contacts so jotts can be sent to them.

5. Contacts can be added to Groups. When you call jott, and say the name of the Group, all the contacts in that group will you the same message.

6. There is a search feature so that prior jotts can be found. This is really helpful if you have archived a lot of Jotts.

7. Call Jott, and say "Reminder" when asked "Who do you want to Jott." Now, say the day and time, and then, begin
your message.

The phone number to Jott is 1-866-JOTT-123

05:56 pm: What Do You Have To Say? - Writing: Makes Me A Better Writer
What's been your biggest influence in making you a better writer?

The many opportunities today, for expressing oneself via online and offline, has given me plenty of practice, and development of style. Blogging is the best way possible for most people to get read, to be published, and for free even. Blogging is the most freeing experience for me, and for many. LiveJournal and other blogging sites make this possible.

08:22 pm: A Ranch Community
I grew up in traditional ranch style homes. I am proud of it. You know, the kind Frank Lloyd Wright would be proud of: Low pitch gable roofs, the emphasis on the horizontal versus the verticle, a simple, non-elegant exterior, usually no steps or stairs (except in raised ranches), a carport or garage, low lying rectangular shape, L-shape, or U-shape home structure, with a simple, but open floor plan, with a hallway leading to bedrooms on one side of the home, and the living, kitchen, dining, and sometimes master bedroom on the other side. These features are what make up this truly American architectural icon. Yes, I love ranch more than ever. I was bored with it for years as there have beenso many ranches, and I have sinced been living in contemporary, eclectic style homes. I have observed since my growing up ranch days that most homes built today include features that popularized ranch, such as the open floor plan. That one feature alone, was not common prior to the emergence of ranch homes. Now everyone expects an open home, with a lot of light coming in, a living room, dining, family room combo. I miss the old ranch homes, but am thankful that the feelings, features, and romance of ranches still exist in the newer homes of today. Some things do not fade away.

Some of Tallahassee's neighborhoods that are dominated with ranch style home are, Killearn Acres, Plantation Woods, Eastgate, Camelot, Killearn Estate, Scenic Heights, Town N Country, and Holly Hills, to name just a few.

If you grew up ranch, left the ranch for awhile, and want to make a return to the comfortable ranch, give me a text message or call. I would love to share my thoughts about ranch with you, and hear your thoughts.

12:57 pm: What 5 Features In A Home
I give my buyers a homework assignment. I ask them to identify five must-have features in a home before I even show a home. That way both buyer and myself know what to look for. I research the market based on price range of the buyer, location of interest, anf the five features stated to me. I give an example of what buyers typically want, but then state that the buyer has to choose for her/himself what is desired in a home. Here I see so much individuality among people as we all want different things in a home.

Is it a fireplace, open floor plan, vaulted ceiling, an office, fenced in yard, an extra walk-in closet, that you want? You decide.
